Shanghai Jiao Tong University “Lui Che Woo Science Park”

Located at Zhangjian Science Park, a top national high-tech base in Shanghai, Shanghai Jiao Tong University “Lui Che Woo Science Park” covers a GFA of over 100,000 square meters, housing more than 1,200 researchers. It is positioned as a world-class influential technological innovation centre, and is set to create a strong cluster effect with other large-scale national scientific facilities in the area. It is expected to promote the leapfrog development of multiple disciplines in China, build a cutting-edge interdisciplinary research platform, and become the centre for gathering top scientists.

“Lui Che Woo Science Park” is adjacent to the Shanghai Synchrotron Radiation Facility (”SSRF”), which has one of the world's top five synchrotron light source projects. The two parties have formed a strategic partnership and will cooperate in research into new molecules and materials. SSRF possesses operations that comparable to powerful "super X-ray machines" and "super microscopes", which can be used for researching in medicine, physics, science, and so on.

KWIH offers summer internship programme for Hong Kong’s future pillars

K. Wah International (KWIH) upholds its mission of nurturing young talents through education, and has actively offered invaluable learning opportunities to youths. This summer, KWIH offered 11 local university students an internship experience in its Hong Kong headquarter. Through everyday tasks and trainings, the interns gain invaluble transferable skills and insights into the development of K. Wah Group and the Company’s history and culture.

GEG organises lectures and property tour for university students in Macau

Galaxy Entertainment Group’s (“GEG”) arranged lectures and property tour at Galaxy Macau™ for nearly 200 students from two universities in Macau. Representatives from different departments in GEG visited the University of Macau to share industry knowledge with students. In addition, professor and students of Macau University of Science and Technology also visited various hotel suites and restaurants at Galaxy Macau. The property tour has deepened their understanding of integrated resort operation.

GEG values ​​and supports the Macau government in cultivating local talents, and actively cooperates closely with academia to share knowledge and provide opportunities for future leaders.

GEG promotes Chinese cutting-edge drone technology to local schools

Since 2019, Galaxy Entertainment Group (“GEG”) has been enhancing young people’s understanding of the country’s latest technologies and cultivating their innovative thinking and related interests by title-sponsoring the “Popular Science Activities in Schools on Chinese Drones” and promoting drone technology and application to 30 of Macau’s local schools.

Following the activities held at Sacred Heart Canossian College English Section and Colégio Diocesano de São José, Cinta Escola, another promotional activity was held recently for applauding teachers and students at the Pui Ching Middle School Macau. The program introduced them to drones and their in China. In addition to showing videos of the drone light shows, the event also included a drone show performance and a session where students were invited to try flying the drones under the guidance of technicians.

As a partner of the “Light up Macao Drone Gala 2022” held by Macao Government Tourism Office of the Macau SAR Government, GEG presented Macau residents and visitors a fascinating drone light show under the theme of “Golden Fall Delights show”. During the event, GEG also arranged students from Pui Ching Middle School Macau a visit on site, to learn about drone operation, formation, features and other requirements in preparation of a drone show so that they can better understand the technology.

GEG Youth Achievement Program continues to cultivate future talents

Since 2011, Galaxy Entertainment Group (“GEG”) GEG has been co-organising the GEG Youth Achievement Program (“YAP”) with the Macau Management Association and for 10 consecutive years, the YAP has provided numerous training and career enhancement opportunities for over 3,000 participants aged 18 to 29. Earlier, GEG held the 10th YAP Award Presentation and the 11th YAP Launch Ceremony to recognise the outstanding performance of the participants of the 10th YAP and welcome the new intake. Through the YAP, GEG hopes to equip young people with the skills needed to seize the opportunities brought by the developments of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and the Guangdong-Macao Intensive Cooperation Zone in Hengqin, and to facilitate their participation in the country’s national development initiatives. Centering on the emerging trends of “Big Health” and “Technology”, the 11th YAP will reinforce the health literacy and innovative thinking of local youth and equip them for the future challenges.
