K. Wah International (“KWIH”) continues to advance sustainable community development under the theme “GO GREEN @ K. Wah”. Recently, KWIH actively supported the World Wide Fund for Nature Hong Kong (WWF) in its “Walk for Nature 2025” initiative with a visit to the Mai Po Nature Reserve, serving as a supporting organisation and demonstrating its commitment to environmental conservation.
The event, themed “Wetland for Lives,” brought together KWIH colleagues and their families to explore the Mai Po Nature Reserve. Participants engaged their senses to experience the wetland habitat, strolling through its tranquil natural environment. They observed diverse bird species and gained deeper knowledge of rare wetland wildlife such as the black‑faced spoonbill and otters up close, thereby raising awareness of the importance of wetland ecological conservation.
K. Wah International (“KWIH”) held the “Mooncake Box Recycle Programme” during the Mid-Autumn Festival, encouraging colleagues to collect leftover paper and metal mooncake boxes by placing them in designated collection bins set up by the company. The collected boxes will be handed over to the environmental organisation Greeners Action for proper recycling processes. Thanks to the enthusiastic participation of our colleagues, the initiative received an overwhelming response!
InterContinental Grand Stanford Hong Kong (ICGS) recently collaborated with V Cycle to conduct a meaningful workshop focused on waste management and sustainable practices. During this initiative, the team worked alongside the elderly community in plastic sorting and recycling activities, reinforcing its commitment to environmental responsibility and social engagement.
ICGS recognizes that meaningful change begins with small, consistent actions. By integrating sustainable practices into its operations and community initiatives, it strives to contribute positively to a greener future.
As the first integrated tourism and leisure enterprise in Macau to replace plastic with bamboo on a large scale in its hotels, Galaxy Entertainment Group ("GEG") proudly supported the 2025 Macao International Environmental Co-operation Forum & Exhibition (MIECF). Drawing inspiration from recycled materials and bamboo, this year, GEG created an “Upcycled Waste Pavilion” by incorporating these materials with environmentally friendly, multi-functional honeycomb cardboard furniture, and utilizing 3D print technology.
GEG remains committed to resource recycling, environmental protection, and sustainable development.
Galaxy Entertainment Group ("GEG") has always taken practical actions to support sustainable development and continues to organise “Green Tour” for Macau students, sharing with them the green initiatives and achievements of its hotels. To raise awareness about the importance of freshwater, GEG recently invited teachers and students from Escola Portuguesa de Macau to the Grand Resort Deck at Galaxy Macau. Under the guidance of professionals, the students were transformed into water quality inspectors, conducting pool water tests to learn about daily water quality testing methods and knowledge. Looking ahead, GEG will continue to actively support the Macau SAR Government’s environmental protection efforts while providing more off-campus opportunities for Macau students to learn about water resources, nurturing the next generation’s commitment to carbon reduction and environmental protection practices, and collectively work towards building a more sustainable society.
Galaxy Entertainment Group ("GEG") has consistently integrated sustainability into its daily operations, supporting and promoting sustainable development through practical actions. At the “GEG GREEN JOURNEY - Taste of Sustainability” event held at the Galaxy International Convention Center, GEG shared its latest sustainability initiatives and demonstrated the diverse measures it has implemented to promote sustainable development.
