Title-sponsored by Galaxy Entertainment Group (“GEG”) for the 16th consecutive year, 2019 Galaxy Entertainment Macao International Marathon kicked off on 1 Dec. In celebration of the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the Macau SAR, “GEG Handover Cup” was introduced to encourage Macau athletes to achieve better performance; while the “Most Creative Costume Award” again created an exuberant atmosphere for the event as contestants dressed up in extravagant costumes.
Congratulations to GEG for winning the Marathon’s Group Trophy for the 15th year in a row, and all athletes who achieved excellent results!
2019 Galaxy Entertainment Macao International Marathon Carnival hosted by Galaxy Entertainment Group (“GEG”) at Broadway Food Street, Broadway Macau™ was concluded successfully! This seven-day carnival incorporated elements of sports, gastronomy and entertainment to bring a diversity of exciting activities to the city, ranging from marathon-themed game booths, delicacies and singing and dancing performances.
Leaders from GEG and Macau Government, local residents, travellers and runners from around the world all gathered to have a taste of the citywide excitement in advance of Macau’s annual marathon, as well as to share the joyfulness of Macau SAR anniversary!
What a wonderful afternoon filled with kids and catchy music! Our staff brought along their family members to enjoy K. Wah Opera Hong Kong Children Chorus Annual Concert 2019 title sponsored by K. Wah International Holdings Limited ("KWIH"). With the theme “The Pirates of Penzance”, over 50 young performers dressed into the costumes of privates and delighted audience with melodious singing.
Verdi’s masterpiece of Rigoletto, an opera in three acts titled sponsored by K. Wah International Holdings Limited (“KWIH”) and presented by Opera Hong Kong (“OHK”) was staged at the Hong Kong Cultural Centre! The luminaries including Paddy Lui, executive Director of KWIH, Oliver Lam, Chief Financial Officer of KWIH, and Warren Mok, Artistic Director of OHK; as well as renowned leaders in the political, business, education and media sectors including Deputy Consul General of Sweden in Hong Kong Joakim Ladeborn, Mr & Mrs Donald Liao Poon-huai, and Dr Charles Cheung Wai-bun, non-executive Director of Galaxy Entertainment Group are all here to support and enjoy the performance.
K. Wah Group took part in the “Stanley International Dragon Boat Championships 2019” held at Stanley Main Beach. This is the fifth year in a row the Group joined this annual event to celebrate the Dragon Boat Festival together with its staff and their families and friends. This year, K. Wah Group sent the strongest team, making up of 23 male and female athletes from K. Wah International Holdings Limited, Stanford Hotels International and LUI Che Woo Prize Limited. Same as past years, the athletes took part in the “Mixed Team” races competing against other local and overseas teams. There to cheer the teams on were Paddy Lui, Executive Director of KWIH and Galaxy Entertainment Group, Quinly Wan, Director of Development & Leasing of KWIH, Christopher King, Director of Projects of KWIH, Alexander O. Wassermann, General Manager of InterContinental Grand Stanford Hong Kong, colleagues from different departments and families and friends of staff members. At the best of their effort and team spirit, K. Wah athletes, as anticipated, got into the “Mixed Silver Plate” final, which creates the best record of the team over the years. The team also competed this year for “The Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors 35th Anniversary Dragonboat Cup” and completed the race with a good performance.
Galaxy Entertainment Group Dragon boat team won the second-runner up on the last day of the Macau International Dragon Boat Races 2019. GEG management and team members cheered for the GEG dragon boat paddlers to demonstrate their strong team spirit.
