GEG organises trainings and workshops to promote responsible gaming
As part of its corporate social responsibility, and in compliance with government policies and measures, GEG organises regular responsible gaming trainings and workshops for staff and the public. Recently, more than 40 GEG staff attended a training and a workshop conducted by professional speakers to encourage them to build a positive attitude towards life. Through practical cases, group discussions and role play, the attendees learnt about the symptoms of problem gambling, skills of dealing with challenging situations and assistance programmes that are available to patrons, their friends and families. The attendee, being frontline staff in majority, found the training content highly relevant to their daily work, and their capabilities were enhanced in understanding, identifying and providing assistance in problem gaming.
