K. Wah Group first ventured into the Mainland market in the early 1990s. In accordance with Mainland China’s development directions, the Group participated in the first large-scale urban renewal project in Guangzhou, transforming the old neighbourhood of Yuexiu District into a modern residential/commercial area, The Parkview Place, in 1993. K. Wah also acquired several sites in Shanghai, making K. Wah one of the first Hong Kong developers to enter this property market. Meanwhile, K. Wah started to train a group of local professionals in project development, marketing, sales and leasing, which laid a concrete foundation for subsequent expansion there.

K. Wah’s Mainland property business today has a strategic focus on the Yangtze and Pearl River deltas in cities such as Shanghai, Nanjing and Guangzhou.
